In order to ensure uniformity in the material & design, parents are encouraged to stitch the uniform through the School tailor.

School Badge and Identity Cards will be provided on Payment.

Parents are requested to ensure that their children attend the School in neat and tidy uniform. Identity card and School House badge should be worn by the students everyday without fail. House Dress will be worn on Fridays and Saturdays for those who have opted for Hobby Coaching Classes (HCC).

School uniform is compulsory on all working days, excursions and School functions.

Examination & test

Three Terminal Exams will be conducted during an academic year.

A progress Report will be sent to the Parents/Guardian after every Examination (except Annual exam). Parents/Guardian are requested to sign the progress report and return it within three days of its issue. After the Annual Exam the Promotion List will be displayed on the School Notice Board and the Progress Report for the Academic year will be handed over to the parents.

MEDICAL INSPECTION

As the school desires to take personal interest in the physical and mental health of the pupil who are entrusted to its care, a medical examination is held in the School in july every year. The result is communicated to the parents through the Progress Report. Parents are requested to sign & return the same. The weight of students is monitored periodically by the School as per Indian Medical Standards and communicated to the parents from time to time. Parents are requested to monitor the weight of their children.

Pupil must be protected against diseases by vaccination/inoculation. Any child found suffering from contagious or infectious diseases must be kept at home as per the quarantine prescribed by the Doctor. Personal cleanliness and hygiene is expected from all pupil. Parents are also requested to extend a helping hand in this matter.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  • Parents/Guardian are requested to regularly peruse the Hand Book to check and sign the home Assignment. Remarks of the Teacher in the Hand book be regularly perused and signed. Your co-operation is very essential for the performance of the pupil.
  • Pupil must be present in School five minutes before the first bell. The gate will be closed after the first bell.
  • If you observe that your child is unable to follow the lessons, the Headmistress should be consulted, so that additional guidance can be given.
  • Attendance is compulsory at all School functions.
  • As already mentioned in this prospectus, the School provides Extra-curricular and Co-curricular Activities to the Students. We would request the parents to encourage their children to avail of these facilities in the best interest of the child.
  • Parents are expected to co-operate with the School regarding extra curricular activities. It is compulsory for every pupil to participate in case they are chosen. No exemption will be given to parents’ representation except on health grounds.
  • No student will be allowed to appear for any terminal examination unless all School dues have been cleared before the respective examination.
  • Since the medium of instructions is English it is very essential that the students are able to understand and express themselves, both verbally and in writing in English. The School therefore requests the parents to encourage their children to speak in English. Watching English TV Knowledge channels can help both in acquiring knowledge and improving their communication skills.
  • Encourage children to get into the habit of reading. The School has a adequately stocked library for all ages.
  • Without the written request from the parents / guardian and permission from the Headmistress, pupil will not be allowed to leave the School during the School hours.
  • It is compulsory for the parents to attend the open day to assess their child’s progress and performance.
  • The School is very particular about the standard of uniform and observance of hygiene. The School therefore requests the parents to ensure that their children are provided with adequate pairs of uniforms and the same are properly washed and ironed. The shoes must be properly polished and socks should have adequate elastic to hold up. Students must wear the Identity Card to School. Parents must also pay great attention to the hair, nails and other aspects which health and hygiene demand. The School will report any violations in this aspect to the parents and parents are requested to co-operate and take remedial measures.
  • The School Book Depot will supply books to all classes. For convenience and uniformity books, house uniform and School badges are supplied by the School Book Depot on payment of the prescribed amount.
  • Pupil leaving the School during the year will have to pay the full fees of that term.
  • If a transfer Certificate is required, an application should reach the School office one week in advance. Applications for Transfer Certificate at the end of the academic year must be received by 07th of February. In case of late request the first term fees for the next academic year will be collected.
  • A record of address and telephone numbers of Parents / Guardian is maintained in the School office. Any change in the address should be communicated to the School office immediately. The School has a system of sending SMS messages to parents in case of an urgent / emergency situation. It is therefore all the more important that the mobile phone numbers are properly recorded. In case of inclement weather conditions, please listen to the TV / Radio news for Government orders on declaring a holiday.
  • Use of single use plastic is banned. Parents are therefore requested to ensure that students are provided with metal water bottles and tiffins. Further, students are not allowed to bring plastic bags to School. Cloth and Jute bags are permitted.
  • We would request the Parents to see that the students keep their Text / Note books neatly and carry only those books required as per time table.
  • The School educates the children on threat of kidnapping and the Do’s / Don’ts. A letter is also sent to the parents on precautions against kidnapping. Parents are also requested to regularly educate their children in this regards.
  • Parents / Guardian should not visit the classroom or meet the teachers during the class hours. Those who seek information or wish to interact should contact the teachers or the Headmistress on Fridays between 1.15 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. Opinions and suggestions are welcome and will be looked into and replied.
  • Parents sending their children by private Van/Buses/Autos are requeted to verify the credentials of the drivers before hiring them. The School in no way takes responsibility for conveyance of your child by these mode of transport.
  • In case of an emergency the parents may approach the Headmistress during the School working hours.
  • Please pay the fees on time.

Notes to parents / Guardian

  • As parents we must realise that our children are judged by strangers and friends by their good behaviour, politeness and manners. If they behave badly in Public they not only let themselves down but also their parents, teachers and School. By controlling themselves in speech and action they build a good standard of behaviour, politeness and manners.
  • As time passes by and they continue to persue the good efforts these efforts became habits which they can maintain throughout their lives without noticing. Then we can say that they are well behaved, polite and well mannered which enhances their personality. Be a good human being first. We would therefore request the Parents / Guardian to adhere to the following :
    • The child is regular and punctual to school.
    • The child is neatly and smartly dressed.
    • The health and hygiene of the child is taken care of.
    • The child is encouraged to take part in Extra and Co-curricular Activities in the School.
    • The School organises Hobby Coaching Classes (HCC) for students on Saturdays. We request the parents to encourage their children to take part in these coaching classes and it goes a long way in the overall development of the child.
    • Read the Hand Book carefully and make a note of the important things in it.
    • It is compulsory to speak in English within the School campus.
    • See that your child aims at full attendance and punctuality.
    • Irregular attendance, habitual illness, frequent neglect of home assignments, disobedience and disrespect towards elders and members of the staff or bad moral influence, justify action.
    • Since the medium of instructions is English it is very essential that the students are able to understand and express themselves, both verbally and in writing, in English. The School therefore request the parents to encourage their children to as far as possible speak in English. Watching English TV Knowledge channels and getting into habit of reading can help both in acquiring knowledge and improving your communication skills.

    • Parents are requested to complete the Identity Certificate and return the same to the School within one week of the School re-opening.
    • The Academic and Health Record will be forwarded to you immediately on re-opening of school. Kindly complete the relevant details of the Health Record and return the same to the School within a week.
    • Pupil are responsible for their own books, pencils, tiffin carriers or any other article they may bring to School. No jewellery or flowers are to be worn to School on uniform.
    • It is forbidden to write or scribble on the walls, throw paper or ink about the classroom or damage the school property. Damage done must be paid and made good.
    • Please pay the School fees on time.

Scouts & Guide dress and accessories for students for classes VI to VIII will be provided by the School on payment. Subsequent replacements due to loss or damage will also be paid for by the students.

Examinations & Tests

As per the State Government policy, the process of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) of students has been introduced from classes I to IX since Academic Year 2012-13.

As the name, CCE signifies, the students are evaluated through out the year both in Scholastic and Non Scholastic areas. Assessment is carried out during and at end of each of the three terms.

Parents/Guardian are requested to sign the Students Cummulative Record and return it within three days of its issue. After the end of the Academic year the Promotion List will be displayed on the School Notice Board and the Students Cummulative Record Card for all three terms will be permanently issued to the parents.

  • Keep your class room and School neat and clean. Make use of the waste paper basket or dustbin.
  • Keep your Note/Text books and your belongings neat and clean.
  • Do not interrupt when teachers are conversing.
  • Talk softly in classrooms and corridors.
  • Be polite while speaking to teachers. Use “Please” while requesting and “Thank you” while receiving.
  • Answering in chorus will not be encouraged.
  • It is compulsory to speak in English within the School campus.
  • Use of bad language, unruly behaviour and bad manners are strictly forbidden.
  • Aim at full attendance and unfailing punctuality.
  • Never waste time. Time is precious. Use it well.
  • Do your home work and other assignments in time.
  • Take part in games and extra-curricular activities. It will keep your mind refreshed.
  • Work hard and do your best in studies and sports.
